Low-risk checks

  1. Confirm Windows 10 64-bit or later and DirectX 12 support; the official minimum lists 12 GB RAM.
  2. Verify the game files through the storefront.
  3. Temporarily close overlays or capture tools one at a time, then retest.
  4. Check Windows Security protection history for a blocked game file.
  5. Save the crash dialog, Event Viewer application error, and game log before any reinstall.

Higher-risk changes

A graphics driver change may be relevant when the crash names a graphics module, but a clean driver removal is disruptive and should not be the first blind step.
